Lutheran South Academy has always been a premiere academic institution and continues to be the school of choice in the Southeast Houston area. Rich in tradition and focused on excellence, Lutheran South Academy has been educating students and preparing them for their futures for more than 60 years.
Association Structure
The Lutheran Education Association of Houston (LEAH), comprising 18 area congregations of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS), owns and operates Lutheran South Academy as well as Lutheran High North and Westlake Preparatory Academy. The Board of Directors, elected by delegates, consists of Association pastors, LSA parents, and the LEAH Executive Director who oversees budgets and major policies.
Campus Structure
One of Lutheran South Academy's many distinctions is being a PreK3-12 school that is under the supervision of a Headmaster and three Principals dedicated to each level of education. The campus has been designed to accommodate our current needs and allow for future growth. Each level of education has its own facility that is geared toward the excellent educational structure that helps secure their future. All students have safe and easy access to the community building for lunch, chapel services, music and physical education classes. This community building, designed for use by all levels, contains a full-service cafeteria, music wing, gymnasium, fitness center and locker rooms.
Current expansion has included a two-story academic Middle School facility, six additional Lower School classrooms, and an Early Childhood wing. Future building phases will enhance our campus with an additional gymnasium and an expanded cafeteria/auditorium.
