Visual Arts Department
Starting already in Middle School, Lutheran South Academy visual arts program offers a wide range of opportunities for students to explore and expand their creativity. Students meet 2-3 times a week producing art in a colorful learning environment. Through this creative introduction, students will begin to develop an understanding and appreciation of the arts.
In high school, students are encouraged to stimulate their imaginations further through the development of creative self-expression. The Visual Arts courses include Art 1, Painting 1 & 2, Drawing 1 & 2, and Ceramics 1 & 2. Art production and skills, art history, art criticism, and aesthetics serve as the primary goal in sculpting and forming the many God-given talents and abilities.
