LSA Expansion Sign

Lutheran South Academy, has purchased 22 acres and plans a major expansion. LSA has bought the $2.4 million property slightly north of Dixie Farm Road and adjacent to the current school campus. Head of School, Sheila Psencik, says the land is already being cleared and that the 16 million dollar capital campaign will include a relocating the current track and football/soccer stadium, additional gym space, a chapel/auditorium facility, tennis courts, and expansion of the school cafeteria.
The “Growing LSA Capital Campaign” is expected to take about five years to complete and cost $16 million dollars. Psencik says even with a steady growth in student enrollment, the school has plenty of classroom space, especially with the addition of the new middle school four years ago. But, she says the common use facilities, such as the gym, cafeteria, and chapel area are over used and undersized. With completion of this capital campaign, and the additional facilities, Psencik says the students and staff will enjoy a school campus that meets all of their needs and reflects the school’s high standard of excellence.
