LEAH Schools Privacy Pledge

The Lutheran Education Association of Houston (LEAH), which includes the following websites: leahschools.org,  lutheransouth.org, leahdowntown.org, and westlakeprep.org, is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting any personal information you share with us. You can visit any of our websites without revealing personal information. In some cases , however, we may ask for personal information in order to provide the services you request. Such information will be used by LEAH only to conduct official school business and will never be disseminated to any unaffiliated third party. All of the information that we collect from you is subject to this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. By using this site, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Terms of Use

This website is intended to provide news and information about LEAH or one of our three schools. We will make all reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of content.

No part of this site or its contents - including, but not limited to, the school logo - may be copied, reproduced, modified, retransmitted, distributed, published, commercially exploited or otherwise transferred without written permission from LEAH.

Information Collection and Use

LEAH does not track, collect or distribute personal information about site visitors. However, we do collect some information about site visits. We have access to domain names and I.P. addresses of visitors. We compile statistics that show the number of visitors and the number of requests we receive for particular pages or files on the site. These statistics are used internally to evaluate and improve the site. The statistics contain no personal information (or email addresses) and cannot be used to gather such information.

LEAH (or your particular school) parents are provided access to specific password-protected areas of our website, which may contain personally identifiable information, such as contact information for other LEAH parents or families.

Email Privacy and Spam

The website contains email addresses of faculty and staff.. Use of this information for private, commercial, or political mailings and/or distribution to any outside party is prohibited. If you have any questions about our privacy policy, please contact the LEAH business office.

Student Privacy

LEAH is committed to protecting the privacy of our students and their families. We do not post the full names of students on the public pages of our website. Images of students are used on the public pages of the site; however, students are never identified by name in images. Within any password-protected pages of the site, use of students' full names is allowed and students can also be identified by full name in images.

Use of Links

Throughout our website, we provide links to other servers which may contain information of interest to our readers. We take no responsibility for, and exercise no control over, the organizations, views, or accuracy of the information contained on other servers.

Online Giving and Other Transactions

We are committed to the privacy of all our donors and to those making any kind of transaction via the LEAH websites. Should you decide to make an online donation or purchase, you will be asked to provide your name, contact information and credit card billing information. All of this information is encrypted using SSL, an industry standard secure technology designed to prevent the theft or interception of the information you provide. Credit card billing information is used only to obtain payment from the appropriate credit card firm and to fulfill the donor's or purchaser's request, and is not stored or otherwise retained by LEAH after the transaction is complete.

We will not obtain personally-identifying information about you when you visit our site without you sharing it with us voluntarily. Occasionally, we may use the information that we have collected to send you information about our events and other programs that might interest you. If you tell us that you do not want to have this information used as a basis for further contact, we promise to make a note of that and make every effort to honor your wishes.
